Houston Darts Association begins
The organization traces its roots to a player-driven Houston darts association.
OUR STORY / EST. 1974
FIFTY YEARS. ONE OCHÉ.
From a Houston Darts Association league to today's Space City Darts, the city's players have shaped a community with deep roots.
THE HOUSTON LEGACY
BEFORE SPACE CITY, THERE WAS HDA.
Founded in 1974 as the Houston Darts Association, the organization evolved over five decades. As it grew, it incorporated as the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Space City Darts, Inc., a name chosen because Houston Darts Association, Inc. was unavailable.
Its mission is to advance and promote amateur darts through organized leagues, tournaments, community events and opportunities to support players competing beyond Houston.
